We are looking for a Head of Operational and D2C Analytics to spearhead our team’s efforts in driving high-level Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) initiatives. You will be tasked with shaping the future of our monetization strategy by consolidating infrastructure to reduce costs and improving operational and D2C performance through automation and data insights. We need a strategic leader who can manage and advance analytics for finance, royalty, editorial, and print, ensuring data-driven solutions guide business decisions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform comprehensive data analysis and develop insightful dashboards summarizing data
- Develop tools and analyses to aid decision-making regarding product/operations initiative prioritization.
- Construct batch and real-time data pipelines using data processing frameworks, demonstrating competency with existing data pipelines.
- Deliver scalable, testable, maintainable, and high-quality code.
- Drive optimization, testing, and tooling initiatives to enhance data quality.
- Engage in regular synchronization meetings with the existing analytics team.
- Collaborate with the backlog, prioritizing hypotheses based on predicted impact.
- Actively participate in project work by helping to formulate hypotheses and detailing logic and events to provide insights and new knowledge.
- Work closely with team members to implement and launch experiments successfully.
- Foster collaboration with engineers, product managers, and partners to address user-centric data problems effectively.
- Automate and optimise operational processes - being a driver for business metrics
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in operational and product analytics, minimum 2 years as a manager
- Experience with building analytics from scratch is big advantage
- Proficiency in SQL (any dialect), with familiarity with Clickhouse being advantageous.
- Proficiency in Python/R, including basic statistical, data engineering, and visualization libraries (or experience with other programming languages).
- Strong grasp of math, probability theory, and mathematical statistics, including practical experience conducting A/B tests and hypothesis testing.
- Experience with BI tools and ETL tools (e.g., Airflow, Astromer).
- Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize information across a broad ecosystem to diagnose problems and devise solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of collaborating and maintaining relationships with multiple business and technical teams.
- Product-oriented mindset with strong task-setting, planning, hypothesis generation, and project management abilities.
- Fluent in written and spoken English (B2 level or higher).
- Understanding of music notation and production processes is a plus.
