Hal Leonard

Account & Territory Manager

UK
B2B Sales

We are looking for an Account & Territory Manager who will drive revenue growth and own the performance of an assigned sales territory end-to-end — combining strong customer relationships, strategic account development, and proactive new business acquisition.

This role sits at the intersection of sales execution, customer success, and market development. You will act as the primary owner of your territory — managing and expanding existing accounts while identifying and closing new opportunities. At the same time, you will build and maintain a healthy pipeline, develop strategic account plans, and collaborate closely with internal teams to deliver value-driven solutions that maximize customer satisfaction and business impact.

What’s in it for you?

  • Own and shape your territory with a high level of autonomy, directly impacting revenue growth and business success.
  • Work in a dynamic, collaborative environment with cross-functional teams, gaining exposure to strategy, sales, and customer success.
  • Unlock strong earning potential and career growth opportunities through performance, skill development, and business impact.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and grow revenue within an assigned sales territory.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure high retention.
  • Identify and develop opportunities to expand business within current accounts (upsell and cross-sell).
  • Prospect and acquire new customers within the territory to drive new business growth.
  • Develop and maintain strategic account plans for key customers.
  • Conduct regular customer meetings to understand needs, strengthen partnerships, and identify opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline to support current and future revenue targets.
  • Accurately manage and update sales opportunities, customer information, and forecasts in the CRM system.
  • Provide regular and reliable revenue forecasts and pipeline updates.
  • Monitor territory performance and identify actions required to achieve or exceed sales targets.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales support, marketing, product, and operations) to deliver solutions for customers.
  • Track customer activity, competitor activity, and market developments within the territory.
  • Ensure commercial discipline in pricing, proposals, and negotiations to protect margins.
  • Represent the company professionally in all customer interactions and maintain high standards of customer service.

Required experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in B2B and/or B2C sales, account management, or territory management.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience managing existing accounts while developing new business opportunities.
  • Strong relationship management skills with the ability to build long-term customer partnerships.
  • Solid commercial awareness with experience in negotiations, pricing, and contract discussions.
  • Data-driven mindset with hands-on experience using CRM systems to manage pipelines and forecasts.
  • Strong organizational and territory planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to identify growth opportunities and drive both account expansion and new business.
  • Self-starter with a high level of ownership, proactivity, and accountability for results.
