We are looking for a strategic and data-driven Product Owner, Growth to drive user activation, engagement, and retention across the MuseScore ecosystem. Partnering closely with the Chief Growth Officer and VP of Product, you will run high-impact growth experiments, and leverage data, market insights, and best-in-class growth practices to unlock scalable growth opportunities.

Key responsibilities

  • Strategic Growth Leadership: Develop and implement cutting-edge growth strategies in collaboration with the Chief Growth Officer, aiming to increase user activation, engagement and retention.
  • Cross-Functional Team Management: Lead and mentor a diverse team of developers, designers, researchers. Cultivate a culture of innovation, data-driven decision-making, and agility.
  • Growth Experimentation: Spearhead a consistent schedule of growth experiments each sprint, aligning with the company’s overarching business goals. Collaborate closely with the VP of Product to pinpoint unique opportunities for the Muse Group.
  • Data Analytics and Insights: Harness the power of data analytics and user insights to uncover key growth opportunities. Utilize advanced data visualization tools to inform decision-making processes.
  • Market and Competitor Analysis: Keep a pulse on industry trends, conduct competitor analysis, and gather customer feedback to identify potential market gaps and opportunities.
  • Innovation and Best Practices: Stay abreast of the latest in growth hacking techniques, tools, and best practices, applying this knowledge to drive product growth.

Required experience

  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrable experience in a leadership role focused on growth within the tech and SAAS sectors, particularly in subscription-based products.
  • Technical and Growth Expertise: Solid foundation in audience research, A/B testing, and experimentation frameworks, coupled with a hands-on approach to developing and executing growth strategies.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Exceptional leadership and team management abilities, capable of inspiring cross-functional teams and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Proficiency in analytics and data visualisation tools, with a strong emphasis on making data-driven decisions.
  • Industry Knowledge: An understanding of the needs of musicians and the ability to play an instrument is highly valued, given our audience at MuseScore.
  • Communication Skills: Fluent in English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
