The audio-software marketplace distributes plugins, instruments and sample libraries from developers to musicians across the Muse Group ecosystem of more than 500 million users worldwide.
MuseHub, the music and audio software marketplace operated by Muse Group, reached the milestone of platforming over 110 developer partners and paying out more than $1 million in cumulative earnings, the company announced today. MuseHub's partners are a diverse mix of up-and-coming developers and established companies, including respected industry names such as Vienna Symphonic Library, Halbestunde, Klangio, LANDR, Soap Audio, Spitfire Audio, and others.
The marketplace distributes a mix of free and paid software – including plugins, virtual instruments, sample libraries and audio editors. It reaches musicians who use Muse Group products such as Ultimate Guitar, MuseScore, and Audacity, which together account for more than 500 million users worldwide, as well as appealing to new audiences searching for intuitive audio resources and tools.
“Having more than a hundred partners and reaching a million dollars in payouts is a meaningful sign for everyone we work with. Most of them are small teams, and the work is about helping their tools reach creators who would otherwise never come across them,” said Khaled Said, Head of Product & Partnerships at Muse Group.
Several of MuseHub’s top-performing titles were built by small, independent teams. The desktop version of Sheet Music Scanner, developed for the platform, became its top-selling product within three months of launch without advertising, the company said. Soap, a voice-cleaning plugin, valuable for podcast editors, reached the platform’s third-highest revenue position within a similar period.
Developers of music or audio apps can apply to list their products on MuseHub. Listing is free, and the platform accepts both exclusive titles and products already sold through other channels. MuseHub acts as the merchant of record, handling payments, sales tax across more than 50 countries, and license management on behalf of partners.
MuseHub also works directly with the wider music-technology developer community to encourage grass-roots innovation on the platform. In recent months the company ran developer tracks at two Music Hackspace hackathons – in Lisbon on May 16–17 and in Boston on June 6–7, the latter co-hosted with Berklee College of Music – inviting participants to build products that could launch on the platform. In Boston, the projects Unrealtime, Chop and PocketBand placed first, second and third in the MuseHub track. On 22-23 August, MuseHub will run a further developer track at Music Hackspace’s Montreal hackathon.
MuseHub plans to continue expanding its partner roster and supporting developer events through the rest of 2026.
