We are seeking a Frontend Tech Lead Developer to join the Musescore.com team, playing a key role in maintaining technical quality and leading product frontend horizontal.

Key responsibilities

  • Implement and deliver high-quality features for Musescore.com
  • Partner with managers, designers, analysts, and engineers to address user needs and enhance the product's growth. Assistance to management in planning and prioritizing product and technical changes
  • Lead a frontend team (core, grow, monetisation) and increase its productivity
  • Fully own the technical quality of the product, its architecture, performance and make key decisions about the technical side of the product growth. Ensure the technical quality of the product
  • Debugging and resolving technical issues

Required experience

6+ years of experience in frontend development

Skills

  • Knowledge of design patterns in OOP and FP, with a focus on React/Redux applications. Strong architectural thinking and an understanding of SOLID / GRASP principl2es
  • Strong understanding of JS (ES2019 specification) and TypeScript
  • Knowledge of core web vitals and page speed metrics & performance optimisation experience
  • Deep understanding of web application rendering types (CSR, SSR), and different approaches to routing
  • Understanding web application debugging and profiling using Chrome DevTools and similar tools, especially for optimize long tasks
  • At least B2 level of English
  • Understanding of ci/cd principles

Experience with:

  • Technical debt management: planning, prioritizing and taking action.
  • Implementing product experiments
  • People management (hire, onboard, personal development)
  • Development processes implementation (code review, tech design review, testing culture, etc.)
  • Developing at least one product for at least 3 years
  • Technical leadership for at least 2 years
  • Large technical migrations
  • Product frontend infrastructure: creating common libraries, managing build tools (webpack / vite), eslint configs and testing tools (jest, react-testing-library, playwrite)
