We're seeking People Operations Manager, who will provide HR support, coaching & advice to leaders, managers and employees based remotely across the US, in our Head Office in Milwaukee, and Production and Distribution facilities in Winona. Based on-site in Winona and operating as part of a global HR Team, you will partner site leadership and provide supervision for 2 staff in HR who process employee transactions.
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about creating new standards for systems and processes while ensuring a high level of compliance across multiple US states. Successful candidates will have experience in aligning HR efforts to business needs, with a focus on developing efficient processes and developing HR and Line Manager capability to deliver initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Legal Compliance and Reporting
- Ensure Company policies align with legal requirements across 15 states, staying updated on dynamic employment laws
- Proactively support HR team in legal, reporting, and payroll compliance
Innovative Standards and Behaviors
- Establish cutting-edge standards for HR, inspiring the team to adopt innovative practices
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and role model key behaviors within the team
Strategic Partnership
- Collaborate with managers and leaders to create initiatives aligning with business priorities
- Support HR team in executing diverse projects: diversity and inclusion, change management, succession planning, and wellness initiatives
Executive Recruitment Leadership
- Lead executive-level recruitment, overseeing the entire process from sourcing to onboarding
Desirable Duties:
Leadership Development
- Coach and develop managers and leaders for optimal performance
- Lead HR projects focusing on strategic goals, reviewing talent pipelines, and implementing attraction and retention initiatives
Proactive Approach to Employee Experience
- Proactively enhance employee experience and communication strategies to maintain a positive workplace culture
- Champion organizational culture change and transformation based upon Corporate strategy
- Develop and implement employee development training programs
Marginal Duties:
Backup and Reporting
- Serve as a backup to other HR team members during their absence
- Provide ad-hoc reporting for Senior Management
Special Projects
- Assist with special projects and assignments as determined by CHRO
Required experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, demonstrating a strong focus on compliance across multiple states.
- Expertise in implementing end-to-end HR processes, fostering a continuous improvement mindset for enhanced employee experiences.
- In-depth knowledge of international and state-level data privacy regulations and best practices.
- Proficient in utilizing various systems, including HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven track record of effective stakeholder management in decision-making and project execution.
- Utilizes commercial acumen for impactful coaching conversations with leaders, managers, and employees.
- Self-driven individual promoting engagement and ownership within the role.
- Experience in administering benefits, including self-insured health plans
