At the end of 2023 Hal Leonard Company combined with Muse Group (more information you can find here) and together are now a single company that aims to revolutionize the music industry by using their expertise and resources to offer innovative solutions for musicians, teachers and music lovers around the world.
We’re now seeking a strategic and hands-on Head of Marketing to lead and scale our global marketing efforts across B2C and B2B.
As HoM, you’ll shape how the world experiences Muse Group’s products and Hal Leonard’s legacy offerings. You’ll lead a growing, international marketing team across growth, content, creative, and communications. You’ll drive business impact through modern storytelling, experimentation, and brand clarity — building systems that scale without adding overhead.
You’ll also take a direct hand in elevating our B2B and institutional marketing as a key strategic growth driver.

B2C & Brand Growth
- Own brand positioning and voice across our portfolio of products and future launches.
- Lead social media strategy: build and scale acquisition and engagement channels from the ground up, transforming into a strong, high-performing ecosystem.
- Develop brand strategies for international audiences and double channel-led sales.
B2B Marketing & Partnerships
- Define messaging and GTM strategies for music educators and distribution partners.
- Modernize our B2B creative, packaging, and storytelling.
- Build scalable ambassador and referral programs to grow reach.
Content & Community
- Own content marketing from ideation to long-tail engagement.
- Partner cross-functionally to prioritize and amplify content that drives KPIs.
- Define content pipelines across social platforms (YouTube, newsletters, UGC, etc).
- Grow brand presence in online communities (Reddit, Discord, etc.) with a focus on tone, engagement, and community-led growth.
- Craft storytelling systems that explain product development and innovations over time.
Systems, Tools & Culture
- Build the right global structure: team, processes, tools, and vendors.
- Instill a culture of experimentation, iteration, and measurable ROI.
- Ensure marketing analytics and attribution are transparent and connected to business outcomes.
